Marriage

I’ve been married for 32 years to a man I truly love more than ever! Our marriage has been a bumpy one but we’ve fought hard to stay together. Through excellent counsel and reliance on God, we determined we would never give up on us and have reaped the rewards. Not only have we stayed married, but now we have the solid loving marriage we've both dreamed of.

One fun little tidbit...When I was in my senior year of college, my mother had a big old house near a university. She had a few spare bedrooms, so she rented out a room or two through the university. One day she called me, "Have I got a boarder for you!" She was right. Five years later, I married that boarder!

Kids

I am a blessed mom, mother-in-law, and grandmother.

I have four grown daughters. Lauren is an entrepreneur with a creative learning art studio. She's married to a wonderful hubby, our son-in-love Tony, and mama to my two beloved grandchildren. Farrell is pursuing her acting dreams in DC. Catie, recently married to another awesome son-in-love, Alexander, is a music therapist and musician. And my baby, Amelia, is finishing up college and continuing on for a Masters.

Raising my children has absolutely been a journey of the utmost joy and the greatest expenditure of emotion, energy, effort…and tons of prayer. I had no idea how hard it would be to be a mom. But I’ve learned and continue to learn life lessons through our relationships – how to let go, how to really trust God, how to be flexible, how to love unconditionally, and so much more – every step of the way.
